You should have seen me, the LLL leader, last week: sniffing pee pee diapers, massaging and compressing to get every drop of milk out of my breasts during a feeding, waking Miriam every two hours around the clock, because she couldn't possibly have gotten enough, she only nursed for ten minutes last time!! And she didn't spit up! (One of the ways I could tell that Naomi had gotten enough was when she would spit up the excess. Until she spit up, I wasn't comfortable finishing the feeding.) Is she just a sleepy kid, or is this the lethargy I should be watching out for?
Turns out I should take my own advice. When I took Miriam to the ped yesterday, she weighed in at 8 lbs 2 oz. Nearly a pound over her birth weight at nine days old. You go, baby!
woo hoo! you go mama!
can't wait to see you and the new babe.

Damn, here I thought that when (if) I had baby #2 I would be all relaxed and easygoing about the breastfeeding, not all stressed out like I was the first time around. I guess those first few weeks of BF'ing are a bit stressful no matter what. You go little Miriam! Drink that liquid gold.
