Every day, people on the street tell me they love my hair color. I never get tired of it. My hair is fucking rad.
I love having blue hair. I feel supernatural, like a faery, or something that's nearly human but not quite.
The only downside is that it's nearly impossible to go incognito. People remember the blue-haired chick with eyes on her back who's name is Kateri. Anonymity is the impossible dream.
Soon, I think I will color over the blue with transluscent blue-black. I'm not there yet. We'll see.
And FYI: the color I use is semi-permanent. That means it stains the cuticle of the hair and only lasts a month because it does not penetrate the cortex. Normally it would run and bleed in the shower and in the rain, which is a pain in the ass to say the least. I have discoever than using a demi-permanent glaze prevents fading and bleeding. I highly recommend that if you try this at home you follow it with a glaze. It's colorless and it seals the cuticle for four to six weeks. I used a product called Shine Happy, available at drugstores. That enorsement wasn't paid for. It's the god's honest truth.

Totally rad!

That's the best hair I've ever seen. I'm so sorry my brother moved away from your town and I have no excuse to show up and get at least a streak of that awesomeness. Of course you're extra unforgettable with it!

There are the predominantly objective essayists who do not speak directly of themselves, but turn their attention outward to some literary or scientific or political theme. … And how splendid, how truly oracular are the utterances of the great generalizers! … The most richly satisfying essays are those which make the best not of one, not of two, but of all the three worlds in which it is possible for the essay to exist.
Like the novel, the essay is a literary device for saying almost everything about almost anything, usually on a certain topic. By tradition, almost by definition, the essay is a short piece, and it is therefore impossible to give all things full play within the limits of a single essay. But a collection of essays can cover almost as much ground, and cover it almost as thoroughly, as can a long novel. Montaigne's Third Book is the equivalent, very nearly, of a good slice of the Comédie Humaine.
Essays belong to a literary species whose extreme variability can be studied most effectively within a three-poled frame of reference. There is the pole of the personal and the autobiographical; there is the pole of the objective, the factual, the concrete-particular; and there is the pole of the abstract-universal. Most essayists are at home and at their best in the neighborhood of only one of the essay's three poles, or at the most only in the neighborhood of two of them.

I've been coloring my hair at home for the past 5 months, try to go 7 weeks between touch ups and wash my hair only twice a week - use sulfate free shampoo and conditioner. My goal is to keep my hair healthy looking, shiny and be able to continue to grow it out. So far, I noticed some breakage on the top of my head - not good

Reminds me of when I was young, a friend decided that she didn't want her bangs anymore. So she carefully trimmed them off at the hairline.
