This was going to be a bulleted list, but I only got to one
Jo and Gretchen, the Gravidity Sisters, are having an ongoing discussion about taking offense. In the midst of snarky grammar-related comments about people who split infinitives and use the word "irregardless" (which drives me nuts, I even have a Facebook Flair that displays my annoyance on that matter), Jo linked to this post about grammar on Stuff White People Like.
So all morning I spent giggling self-consciously about why white people like indie music, dinner parties, 80's nights, and yes, being offended.
Seriously, if you have a morning to kill, read the whole list. I'm looking forward to future coverage: what about Volkswagens? Prime-time medical dramas? Ethnic baby carriers?

My sister (an English major) sent me (an English major) a link to that grammar article, and we had a good laugh over it. That site is quite funny. And yes, prime-time medical dramas totally ought to be on that list!
Randomly found your blog and have enjoyed reading so many of your posts. Your story has really made me think. Thank you for sharing it!

Ho.Ly. Cow. I had to stop after 4 or 5 links. My computer is too dang slow...
Very cute. And mostly true...

I feel faintly judged. How ironic.
And I suspect the more accurate title would be "Stuff White Americans Like".
